Cepu, JurnalPost.com — The Human Resources Development Center for Oil and Gas (PPSDM Migas) has further strengthened its commitment to maintaining testing quality and environmental oversight within the energy sector.

The PPSDM Migas Environmental Laboratory has officially obtained status as an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited testing laboratory and is registered with the Ministry of Environment (KLH).

This status was established through the Secretariat of the Ministry/Principal Secretariat of the Ministry of Environment/Environmental Management Agency Letter Number B.442/CISTI.2.3/S1/2026 dated May 21, 2026.

The registration for the PPSDM Migas Environmental Laboratory was granted under Number 00325/LPJ/LABLING-1/LRK/KLH and is valid until December 29, 2030.

This achievement confirms that the testing system implemented by the PPSDM Migas Environmental Laboratory meets quality and competency requirements recognized both nationally and internationally.

The accreditation is based on the recommendation of the National Accreditation Committee (KAN) through the Letter of the Director of Accreditation System and Harmonization of the National Standardization Agency (BSN) Number 089a/4.a1/LAB/01/2026.

The recommendation confirms that the scope of testing parameters held by the PPSDM Migas Environmental Laboratory meets the required quality standards.

PPSDM Migas Coordinator for Oil and Gas Technical Facilities, Yoeswono, stated that this achievement is a significant milestone in improving the quality of environmental testing services, particularly for the oil and gas sector.

“Achieving ISO 17025 accreditation, reinforced by official registration from the Ministry of Environment, is proof of the reliability and validity of the testing results we issue,” said Yoeswono.

According to him, this recognition also reflects PPSDM Migas's commitment to providing laboratory services with high levels of accuracy and accountability.

“We are committed to continuing to support the oil and gas industry and the public through accurate, transparent, and accountable environmental testing in accordance with applicable regulations,” he continued.

ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation is a vital standard for testing and calibration laboratories as it pertains to technical competence, process consistency, and the validity of test results.

With official registration from the Ministry of Environment, the PPSDM Migas Environmental Laboratory has an increasingly strong foundation to provide testing services to various stakeholders.

In addition to supporting the needs of the oil and gas industry, the existence of the laboratory is expected to strengthen the implementation of sustainable environmental management and monitoring.

PPSDM Migas considers the improvement of laboratory competence to be an essential part of supporting the implementation of environmental standards amidst the development of the national energy industry.

Yoeswono added that this accreditation and registration achievement opens greater opportunities for the PPSDM Migas Environmental Laboratory to collaborate with the government, the business world, and educational institutions.

“With this accreditation and official registration, the PPSDM Migas Environmental Laboratory is increasingly prepared to become a strategic partner for the government, oil and gas industry players, and educational institutions in realizing environmental sustainability in Indonesia,” concluded Yoeswono.
