JurnalPost.com - Who would have thought that starting from a hobby of playing games and creating content, Jefferson now has successfully built the Liga Roblox Indonesia community with tens of thousands of members. The TikTok account he manages has even surpassed 120 thousand followers in about one year.

Jefferson's journey to becoming a gaming content creator was not as smooth as one might imagine. Before being known through the TikTok account @Ligarobloxid, he was first involved in the esports world, specifically in Dota 1 and Dota 2.

Jefferson admits to having been active in various local tournaments from 2007 to 2016. In fact, he successfully won a number of competitions.

That experience later led him to be interested in building his own gaming community. This time, his choice fell on Roblox, a game that has a fairly large player base in Indonesia.

"I used to be very active in the competitive scene of Dota 1 and Dota 2. I often participated in local tournaments and won several Dota 1 and Dota 2 tournaments from 2007 to 2016," shared Jefferson.

Armed with that experience, Jefferson initially wanted to be a pioneer in organizing regular Roblox tournaments in Indonesia.

Unfortunately, the plan faced challenges. According to him, the presence of players using cheating programs or cheats made it difficult to organize Roblox competitions consistently.

Even so, Jefferson did not stop. He instead began to seriously develop gaming content through social media.

Starting from 1,000 Followers, Now Surpassing 120 thousand

September 2025 marked the beginning of Jefferson being more consistent in creating content and streaming.

At that time, his TikTok account only had about 1,000 to 2,000 followers. A number that was considered small compared to his current achievements.

However, Jefferson did not let those numbers become a barrier. He began to routinely upload one to two pieces of content every day, interspersed with live broadcasts two to three times a week.

The results began to show. Within about one year, the TikTok account @Ligarobloxid grew to have about 120 thousand followers.

Behind that growth, there was significant struggle. Moreover, Jefferson admitted that he had to learn the content creation process from scratch.

"The editing process was the biggest challenge for me because I didn't have a background as a video editor. So I had to learn from the beginning. But over time, I've gotten used to it," he revealed.

It wasn't just about editing; fighting laziness was also a challenge in itself.

From finding ideas, doing research, recording gameplay, to editing videos, it all requires time and a strong commitment.

"Fighting laziness during research, recording content, and editing requires a very strong commitment," he said.

Interestingly, about 90 percent of the content and community development process is still handled by Jefferson himself. Meanwhile, the remaining 10 percent receives help from a few people behind the scenes.

Tutorial Content is the Mainstay, Occasionally Creating Ragebait

So, what is Jefferson's secret to gathering more than 100 thousand followers?

It turns out he doesn't have a very complicated formula. Most of the content he creates consists of Roblox gameplay tutorials and information regarding game updates.

These two types of content are his mainstays for attracting viewers who want to know various tips and the latest developments in Roblox.

However, Jefferson also has his own way when the number of viewers is declining.

"Most of my content provides gameplay tutorials and update info. If traffic is slow, I often create ragebait content, haha," he said jokingly.

The term ragebait itself refers to content intentionally created to provoke an emotional reaction or debate from the audience.

Jefferson admitted that this type of content was actually a turning point for the growth of his YouTube channel.

"For YouTube, ragebait content became the turning point that made my account popular," he shared.

Even so, he still relies on consistency as the main foundation in developing his social media accounts.

Once Experienced a Drop in Views

Having hundreds of thousands of followers does not mean every piece of Jefferson's content always has many viewers.

He admitted to having experienced a sudden drop in the number of views, especially on TikTok.

This situation is certainly a challenge for creators who have spent time researching, recording, and editing content.

However, instead of stopping, Jefferson chose to continue his upload routine.

"Yes, especially on TikTok, views suddenly dropped. Personally, I could only continue to consistently upload. But eventually, it returned to the initial traffic," he explained.

That experience made him more convinced that building a social media account does not just rely on one or two viral videos.

Creators must also be prepared to face changes in viewer numbers and continue to produce content when account performance is declining.

Not Just TikTok, Discord Already Has 28 thousand Members

Jefferson's success does not stop at TikTok.

He is also developing Liga Roblox Indonesia through the Discord and YouTube platforms.

Currently, the Liga Roblox Indonesia Discord community has about 28 thousand members. Meanwhile, the @Ligarobloxid YouTube channel is said to have reached 33 thousand subscribers.

That number is a significant achievement for Jefferson, considering that most of the community and content development is done independently.

"That's right, I am developing my YouTube channel and Discord. Now my YouTube has 33 thousand followers and my Discord already has 28 thousand members," he revealed.

Jefferson still wants to continue developing both platforms in line with the growth of his TikTok account.

For him, the journey as a content creator has not stopped just because he managed to surpass 100 thousand followers.

Jefferson's Message for Beginner Creators: Don't Fear Negative Comments!

After experiencing the struggle of building an account from thousands to hundreds of thousands of followers, Jefferson has a special message for those who are just starting as content creators.

According to him, one of the things that needs to be faced is negative comments, both from people close to you and social media users.

He reminds people not to let those comments discourage them from creating.

"Don't think too much about negative comments from friends or netizens. Just keep moving forward! You are the one who decides your success! Not your friends, and not the netizens!" he advised.

Jefferson's journey in building Liga Roblox Indonesia illustrates that social media account growth does not always happen instantly.

From learning editing autodidactically, consistently uploading content every day, to facing a decline in viewer numbers, everything is part of the process he went through.

Now, with 120 thousand TikTok followers, 33 thousand YouTube subscribers, and 28 thousand Discord members, Jefferson continues to develop the gaming community he built.
