When asked what drew him to the field, MING VENUS explained that the process of transforming music into something unique provides a sense of personal satisfaction.
"I love electronic music and the process of turning a song into something with a different character. For me, a remix is not just about changing the arrangement; it is a way to express creativity and provide an engaging musical experience for the listener," said MING VENUS.
MING VENUS's choice to explore Breakbeat and Funkot was also intentional. He believes both genres possess rhythmic characteristics and energy that are compelling to develop.
"Breakbeat and Funkot have rhythmic characteristics and energy that are interesting to develop. I also explore trance remixes and EDM to keep learning, trying new approaches, and evolving my musical identity," he explained.
However, the journey as an independent music creator is not always smooth.
MING VENUS recognizes that the rise of digital platforms has made competition more open. Every creator has the opportunity to showcase their work, but they are also challenged to produce something with a signature style.
"One of the challenges is maintaining consistency in your work amidst the sheer volume of music and creators on digital platforms. I believe it is important to keep learning, focus on quality, and build good relationships with listeners," he said.
HENYM VENUS Prefers Expressing Feelings Through Songwriting
Unlike MING VENUS, who focuses on electronic music and remixes, HENYM VENUS has a passion for the songwriting process.
For this Surabaya-based creator, music is more than just entertainment. It is a medium to convey ideas and emotions.
When asked why she is interested in songwriting, HENYM VENUS explained that music serves as a vehicle for creative expression.
"I am interested in the process of creating songs because music can be a means to convey ideas and feelings. I want to continue exploring my creativity and developing work with my own character," said HENYM VENUS.
In her creative process, HENYM VENUS also views collaboration as an opportunity to gain experience and fresh perspectives.
She believes that every creator has a unique approach that can complement others when brought together in a music project.
"Collaboration provides an opportunity to exchange ideas and see music from a different point of view. I believe every creator has their own character and approach that can complement one another," she said.
On 'Dreams of You' and 'Eternal Glow'
In their creative activities, MING VENUS and HENYM VENUS have been associated with a music project titled "Dreams of You — Breakbeat Remix 2026" as well as a work titled "Eternal Glow".
Both titles are part of their ongoing musical exploration and development.
MING VENUS revealed that every project presents its own challenges. Nevertheless, he views the process as an opportunity to continue honing his musical skills.
"I want to keep exploring music and presenting work that has its own character. Every project provides a chance to learn, try new ideas, and improve production quality," MING VENUS explained.
Technological advancement is also a crucial factor in the journey of today's music creators.
Through social media, independent musicians have the opportunity to introduce their work without relying entirely on conventional promotional channels.
MING VENUS utilizes TikTok via the account @ming_venus to support his musical activities.
"Social media helps me share my work and interact with listeners. I see digital platforms as a way to expand the reach of my music while building my identity as a DJ and remixer," he said.
Meanwhile, HENYM VENUS is also active on TikTok at @henym.venus.
According to her, the presence of digital platforms provides a wider space for creators to share their progress and communicate with their audience.
"Digital platforms help creators introduce their work to a wider audience. Furthermore, these platforms provide a space to share the development of our work and build communication with the audience," she said.

Although they have different musical approaches, MING VENUS and HENYM VENUS both prioritize creativity and consistency as essential parts of their journey.
