Barru Regent Andi Ina Kartika Sari, along with Barru Chief Prosecutor Erik Yudistira, Forkopimda members, and the extended family of the Barru District Attorney's Office and IAD Barru, pose for a photo during the 81st anniversary of the Indonesian Prosecution Service in Barru, Wednesday (September 2, 2026).

BARRU, JurnalPost.com - The Barru District Attorney's Office (Kejari Barru), alongside the local chapter of the Adhyaksa Dharmakarini Association (IAD), commemorated the 81st anniversary of the Indonesian Prosecution Service on Wednesday (September 2, 2026).

This year's commemoration carried the theme “Restoring Public Trust through Law Enforcement that is Principled, Fair, and Humanistic.” The theme serves as a reflection for the Adhyaksa ranks to continue strengthening professionalism while maintaining public confidence in law enforcement institutions.

Barru Chief Prosecutor Erik Yudistira stated that the 81-year journey of the Prosecution Service has navigated various dynamics and challenges. Therefore, he noted that the anniversary is not merely a ceremonial event, but a momentum to reinforce the institution's identity and commitment.

“This theme reflects our determination to continuously strengthen public trust through principled law enforcement as the primary pillar in delivering the justice expected by the community,” said Erik.

According to Erik, public trust must be built through the execution of duties that are professional, fair, transparent, and uphold humanitarian values.

He also reminded the staff of the importance of moral and spiritual values as a foundation for every Adhyaksa member when making decisions or exercising law enforcement authority.

“By drawing closer to God Almighty, Adhyaksa personnel will always be given guidance, strength, protection, and ease in carrying out difficult and challenging tasks,” he said.

Erik also expressed his appreciation to the Barru Regency Government, the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), and all parties who have supported the duties of the Barru District Attorney's Office.

He hopes that the synergy between Kejari Barru, the local government, Forkopimda, and all stakeholders can be further strengthened to provide law enforcement that delivers tangible benefits to the community.

Barru Regent Encourages Professional Law Enforcement

Barru Regent Andi Ina Kartika Sari took the opportunity to convey her congratulations on the 81st anniversary of the Indonesian Prosecution Service to the entire Kejari Barru staff and the extended IAD Barru family.

“On behalf of the Barru Regency Government, I wish a happy 81st anniversary to the entire Barru District Attorney's Office. May the Prosecution Service grow stronger, more professional, and always earn the trust of the public,” said Andi Ina.

According to the Regent, this year's theme is not just a slogan, but must become a shared spirit in providing services and conducting fair law enforcement.

She stated that the Barru Regency Government has felt a strong synergy with Kejari Barru, particularly in supporting government administration and various regional development agendas.

“As Regent, together with the Vice Regent, we truly feel the very strong synergy with the Barru Regency Forkopimda, especially the Prosecution Office, in assisting us in running the government,” she expressed.

Nevertheless, Andi Ina emphasized that the synergy between the government and law enforcement officials must not diminish the professionalism or independence of law enforcement institutions.

According to her, every law enforcement official must continue to carry out their duties based on regulations and authority without intervention from any party.

“What we hope for is that law enforcement continues to function, certainly without being selective,” she asserted.

The Regent also appreciated the various forms of collaboration built between Kejari Barru, the Barru Regency Government, the military, the police, and other Forkopimda elements.

This collaboration, she said, shows that government administration and law enforcement can run in parallel while respecting the duties and functions of each institution.

One example of this camaraderie mentioned by the Regent is the formation of an All-Star football team involving law enforcement and local government officials. The activity is considered part of an effort to strengthen communication and inter-institutional relations.

“Our hope is that this collaboration remains well-maintained so that we can provide the best for the people of Barru Regency,” she said.

Andi Ina hopes that the Barru District Attorney's Office continues to be an important part of Barru Regency's development journey through the execution of professional, principled, fair, and humanistic law enforcement.

“God willing, we pray for one another. May Barru Regency be blessed with prosperity, and may our intentions, along with the Vice Regent, to build Barru Regency become a reality,” she hoped.

Tumpeng Cutting as a Symbol of Togetherness

The peak of the 81st anniversary of the Indonesian Prosecution Service in Barru was marked by the cutting of a tumpeng (yellow rice cone) as an expression of gratitude for the journey of the Indonesian Prosecution Service.

The tumpeng cutting was performed by Barru Chief Prosecutor Erik Yudistira, along with the Chair of IAD Barru, Mrs. Desi Erik, and Barru Regent Andi Ina Kartika Sari.

The procession took place in a warm atmosphere and served as a symbol of togetherness between the Barru District Attorney's Office, the Barru Regency Government, Forkopimda, and the various elements in attendance.

The 81st anniversary of the Prosecution Service is expected to be a momentum to further strengthen the commitment of the Adhyaksa ranks in increasing public trust through principled, professional, fair, and humanistic law enforcement.

The synergy between the local government, law enforcement, and the community is also expected to provide legal certainty, a sense of justice, and greater benefits for the people of Barru Regency.

Also present were Vice Regent of Barru Dr. Ir. Abustan A. Bintang, M.Si., Chair of IAD Barru Mrs. Desi Erik, Regional Secretary of Barru Andi Syarifuddin, S.IP., M.Si., members of Forkopimda, the Assistant for General Administration of the Barru Regional Secretariat, heads of regional government agencies, heads of vertical agencies, heads of state-owned and regional-owned enterprises, the staff of Kejari Barru, and members of IAD Barru.
