PT Semen Tonasa celebrates its 58th anniversary with a focus on corporate transformation.

JurnalPost.com - Entering its 58th year, PT Semen Tonasa has reaffirmed its commitment to continuous transformation and improved corporate performance by establishing faith, harmony, and togetherness as its foundation. This commitment was highlighted during the 58th Anniversary Tabligh Akbar (Grand Religious Gathering) of PT Semen Tonasa, which featured the Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. K.H. Nasaruddin Umar, MA., at the PT Semen Tonasa Headquarters Auditorium on Monday (10/5/2026).

Carrying the theme "Strengthening Transformation with Faith, Expanding Harmony in Togetherness," the event served as a moment for reflection and spiritual reinforcement for all PT Semen Tonasa personnel in facing the dynamics and industrial challenges ahead.

President Director of PT Semen Tonasa, Anis, stated that the company's milestone should be interpreted as a moment to mature in thinking, decision-making, and navigating various changes. "In Bugis philosophy, every increase in age carries meaning. It is not just about getting older, but about how we become more mature in our thinking, attitudes, and actions. This is the same for PT Semen Tonasa, which has reached the age of 58 today," said Anis.

According to him, a journey of more than half a century is proof of the long process the company has undergone. The various dynamics and challenges faced have become both experience and capital to continue moving forward. "If we want to maintain better corporate performance in the future, we must certainly improve our performance and undergo change. Transformation is an inevitability," he emphasized.

Anis noted that transformation does not only concern aspects of technology, operations, or business, but also how all company personnel build a work culture that is harmonious, mutually supportive, and possesses a sense of shared responsibility. "The theme we have chosen this year has a very deep meaning. In advancing the company, we must build harmony. This is not just the responsibility of management, but the responsibility of us all," he said.

He hopes that this spirit of togetherness will become energy for all PT Semen Tonasa personnel to provide their best contributions. "We want Tonasa to continue to grow and become the best company within the Semen Indonesia Group. For that, we need togetherness, cohesiveness, and commitment from all Tonasa personnel," Anis continued.

Meanwhile, Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Prof. Dr. K.H. Nasaruddin Umar, MA., in his sermon, invited the extended family of PT Semen Tonasa to make the 58th anniversary a moment to strengthen unity and build positive energy within the company environment. "Synergy creates energy. The cohesiveness, unity, and integrity of PT Semen Tonasa will bring forth great energy to lead the company to further progress," said Nasaruddin.

According to him, an organization becomes strong when all elements within it are able to build an awareness that every individual is an important part of a single entity.
He conveyed several principles that need to be maintained in building a strong organization, including faith, integrity, sincerity, trust, responsibility, and togetherness. "Everyone has their own position and duties. Do not view differences in position as a distance. Make those differences a strength to complement one another," advised Nasaruddin.

Nasaruddin also emphasized that true transformation must start with people. Changes in systems, technology, or business processes will run optimally if followed by changes in the mindset, attitude, and character of each individual. "The most important change is the change in humans. If the people change for the better, then the organization will also change for the better," he explained.

Furthermore, he reminded the audience of the importance of maintaining trust as the main capital in building cooperation. According to him, trust will grow when everyone is able to carry out their mandate with full responsibility and maintain integrity.
"Do not look for who is the greatest. The most important thing is how we become one force. Great strength is born from togetherness," he said.

Nasaruddin also invited all PT Semen Tonasa personnel to make work a part of worship by carrying out every mandate professionally, honestly, and responsibly. "Work is a part of worship if it is done with the right intentions, the right methods, and provides benefits to others." He also expressed his hope that the values of faith that are part of the 58th anniversary theme can become a foundation in facing various corporate challenges. With strong faith, according to him, transformation will have a more meaningful direction and purpose.

The 58th Anniversary Tabligh Akbar of PT Semen Tonasa also included the distribution of donations to 6 orphanages in the Pangkep region. Through the spirit of "Strengthening Transformation with Faith, Expanding Harmony in Togetherness," PT Semen Tonasa looks toward the future with a determination to continue growing, adapting, improving performance, and providing the best contributions to the company, society, the nation, and the state.
