Pematang Siantar, JurnalPost.com – Baitul Maal Hidayatullah (BMH) North Sumatra has once again distributed humanitarian aid to an orphaned student named Putri, who was involved in a traffic accident in Pematang Siantar.
Putri is an orphaned student known for her high dedication to her studies. However, tragedy struck while she was on her way to school. She was sideswiped by a passing truck, resulting in a severe impact to her head.
CT scan results revealed a serious injury in the form of a skull fracture. This condition required Putri to undergo further medical treatment through neurosurgery.
BMH North Sumatra provided the surgery cost assistance while Putri was still receiving care at Evarina Hospital in Pematang Siantar.
According to the doctor's explanation to the family, the surgery needed to be performed immediately to prevent the risk of damage to the inner brain tissue, which could have serious consequences for Putri's health.

Following the medical procedure, the surgery was successful. Her condition is reported to be stable and under control, with ongoing monitoring by the medical team.
The family expressed their gratitude to BMH and the donors who helped alleviate the costs of Putri's surgery and treatment.
“We would like to thank BMH for providing the surgery cost assistance. May Allah grant the best rewards to BMH and all the donors who have helped,” said a family representative.
The Head of BMH North Sumatra, Ustaz Abdul Wahid Mokodompit, expressed his hope that the assistance would help ease the family's burden during Putri's treatment and recovery process.
“We hope this assistance can lighten the burden of Putri's medical expenses so that her recovery process goes well, and she can eventually return to her activities and continue her education,” said Abdul Wahid Mokodompit.
Through its social and humanitarian programs, BMH North Sumatra continues to strive to distribute the trust of donors to those in need, including assisting with medical costs for orphans and families facing emergency situations.
