CEPU, JurnalPost.com — A total of 80 students from the University of 17 August 1945 (UNTAG) Surabaya and the National Development University (UPN) “Veteran” Yogyakarta participated in technical training at the Human Resources Development Center for Oil and Gas (PPSDM Migas) in Cepu, Blora Regency, from 3 to 6 November 2026.
UNTAG Surabaya students attended operator-level Occupational Health and Safety (O3) training, while UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta students participated in driller-level drilling training. Each university sent 40 participants.
Agus Alexandri, Coordinator of the Program, Evaluation, and Cooperation Working Group at PPSDM Migas, explained that the two groups followed different training schedules.
“There are two types of training: O3 at the Operator Level for the University of 17 August Surabaya with 40 participants from 3 to 5 November 2026, and Driller-Level Drilling for UPN Veteran Yogyakarta with 40 participants from 5 to 6 November 2026,” said Agus.
Both training programs combined theoretical instruction with practical application. Through these activities, students can bridge the gap between the material studied on campus and the skills required in the oil and gas industry.
Agus stated that PPSDM Migas welcomes training collaborations with vocational high schools (SMK) as well as public and private universities across Indonesia. Interested schools and universities may contact the Integrated One-Stop Service (PTSA) of PPSDM Migas via WhatsApp at 08112643940.
