JurnalPost.com - PT Semen Tonasa hosted the 2026 Passive Air Defense (Hanud) Exercise for Airspace Security Preparedness (Pamwilud), which took place on Thursday (5/11/2026) in the front courtyard of the PT Semen Tonasa office.
The selection of PT Semen Tonasa as the exercise site is based on its status as a National Vital Object (Obvitnas) with strategic importance. Consequently, preparedness in facing potential threats is a critical aspect of maintaining the company's security and operational continuity.
Representing the management of PT Semen Tonasa, General Manager of Communication, Law, and General Affairs, Muhammad Mursham, attended the event to deliver opening remarks. He expressed his appreciation for the exercise and welcomed efforts to improve understanding, readiness, and coordination in handling potential emergency situations.
"As a National Vital Object, preparedness in facing various potential threats is essential for PT Semen Tonasa. We hope that through this activity, the understanding and coordination of all parties will improve, thereby supporting the security and operational continuity of the company," he stated.
Meanwhile, the Assistant for Operations to the Chief of Staff of the National Air Defense Command (Asops Kaskohanudnas), Air Vice Marshal TNI Setiawan, explained in his briefing that the exercise serves as a means to provide insight into potential air defense threats and the impact they may have on strategic facilities, including PT Semen Tonasa.
He explained that through this exercise, various potential threats and their possible consequences can be better understood. Thus, the company is expected to enhance its readiness to anticipate various situations that may arise.
Furthermore, he emphasized that the activity is intended to serve as both a learning opportunity and an evaluation to refine the procedures already in place at PT Semen Tonasa. This ensures that the company's preparedness systems and security measures can be continuously improved according to operational needs.
In addition to preparedness, Air Vice Marshal TNI Setiawan reminded all participants to prioritize safety throughout the exercise. According to him, personnel safety is the primary priority that must be observed during every stage of the activity.
The exercise involved the PT Semen Tonasa Rapid Response Team (TRC) and the company's Firefighting Unit. The involvement of these two teams was a crucial part of the exercise scenario, particularly in anticipating secondary impacts caused by an attack, such as fires or casualties requiring medical attention and evacuation.
Through the involvement of these internal teams, coordination and response speed in handling emergencies are expected to be further sharpened. This activity also serves as an opportunity to test personnel readiness and improve synergy between units when facing emergency conditions that require integrated handling.
The execution of this 2026 Passive Air Defense Exercise for Airspace Security Preparedness is part of an effort to strengthen synergy and coordination between defense elements and the managers of national strategic facilities.
Through this activity, PT Semen Tonasa continues to strengthen its preparedness in facing various potential threats and enhances its commitment to maintaining the security of its operational facilities as a National Vital Object.
