JurnalPost.com - Gema Wong Cilik Nusantara (GWCN) has expressed deep concern regarding the forest and land fire disasters that threaten environmental sustainability and public safety.
The General Chairman of Gema Wong Cilik Nusantara, Muhammad Nur Cahyono, emphasized that forest fires are not merely an issue of environmental damage, but also a humanitarian crisis that requires collective attention and care.
According to him, behind the flames consuming trees and land, there are communities facing health threats, loss of livelihoods, and disruptions to their daily lives.
“When forests burn, our humanitarian conscience must burn even brighter. Do not let the fire that consumes nature also extinguish the hope of the people facing this disaster,” said Muhammad Nur Cahyono.
In response to the disaster, the GWCN family offers prayers and hopes that firefighting efforts will soon yield results, environmental conditions will recover, and all affected residents will receive adequate protection and assistance.
GWCN also calls on the government, relevant authorities, volunteers, civil society organizations, and all elements of the nation to strengthen cooperation in handling the impacts of these fires.
Public safety must be the top priority. The distribution of aid, healthcare services, and environmental recovery measures must be carried out quickly and equitably, especially for the most vulnerable small communities.
Muhammad Nur Cahyono reminded everyone that preserving nature is a shared responsibility that cannot be ignored. Forests and the environment are not just resources to be exploited, but a precious legacy that must be maintained for future generations.
In his view, the forest fire disaster also serves as a reminder of the importance of strengthening social solidarity and collective awareness to protect the environment.
“No matter how large the flames, they must not be greater than our compassion and unity. Nature is a gift from God that we are obligated to protect for our children and grandchildren,” he asserted.
GWCN hopes that the forest and land fire disaster can be resolved soon through the cooperation of all parties, while also serving as a momentum to improve prevention measures so that similar incidents do not recur.
“May the fires be extinguished soon, may the affected communities receive immediate help, may nature recover, and may Indonesia always be under the protection of God Almighty,” concluded Muhammad Nur Cahyono.
