BRI QRIS
A snack and beverage vendor in Bojonegoro facilitates transactions by providing digital payment options via QRIS, allowing customers to pay without cash.

BOJONEGORO, JurnalPost.com – The utilization of the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) by BRI is increasingly being felt by micro-entrepreneurs in Bojonegoro Regency. This digital payment system helps accelerate transactions while providing convenience for consumers purchasing beverages and various types of snacks.

One local vendor selling beverages and light snacks in Bojonegoro noted that using QRIS makes the payment process much more practical. Buyers no longer need to prepare cash, and vendors do not have to constantly keep change on hand.

This convenience is especially noticeable during peak hours when many customers arrive simultaneously. The payment process is completed simply by scanning a QR code via a banking app or a digital wallet that supports QRIS.

“Now, many customers prefer to pay using QRIS. Just scan the code, and the transaction is finished instantly. We also don't have the hassle of preparing change,” the vendor said.

In addition to speeding up transactions, the use of digital payments is considered to reduce the risk of errors when counting cash. Vendors can also more easily monitor incoming transactions through digital records.

Consumers experience similar benefits. One buyer mentioned that the presence of QRIS makes transactions more flexible, especially when they are not carrying cash.

“When buying drinks or snacks, sometimes I don't have cash on me. With QRIS, it becomes easier and faster. Any amount can be paid immediately,” they said.

The use of QRIS also assists vendors in managing income records. Transactions conducted digitally can be reviewed, making it easier for business owners to evaluate their sales activities.

For micro-enterprises that still rely on daily transactions, these records can help provide a clearer picture of cash flow and sales performance.

BRI continues to encourage the use of digital transactions through its QRIS service, including among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The utilization of non-cash payment systems is expected to help business owners adapt to changing consumer transaction habits.

The presence of QRIS also provides a more diverse range of payment options for consumers. They are no longer entirely dependent on cash when shopping for food, drinks, or other necessities from small vendors.

The digitalization of payments in the culinary and street food sector demonstrates that transaction technology is not limited to large-scale businesses. Beverage vendors, small kiosks, and snack sellers can all utilize digital payment systems in their daily business activities.

The increasingly widespread use of QRIS in Bojonegoro is expected to promote more practical and efficient transactions for both vendors and buyers. For small business owners, adapting to digital payments is also part of an effort to keep pace with evolving public transaction patterns.
