BARRU, JurnalPost.com - Barru Regent, Andi Ina Kartika Sari, has invited all political parties in Barru Regency to maintain unity and strengthen cooperation with the local government. According to her, differences in political affiliation or party colors should not be an obstacle to achieving development that benefits the community.

This message was conveyed by Andi Ina while attending the inauguration of the Branch Executive Board (DPC) of the United Development Party (PPP) of Barru Regency for the 2026–2031 term, which was held in conjunction with the opening of the PPP Branch Consultative Meeting (Musancab) across Barru Regency.

The event took place at Kampung Bugis Jaasyra, Binuang Village, Balusu District, Barru Regency, on Friday (23/10/2026), and was attended by party officials, regional government representatives, and various community leaders.

In her remarks, Andi Ina extended her congratulations to the Chairman of the DPC PPP of Barru Regency, H. Armandsyah Arifuddin, along with all the newly inaugurated board members. She expressed her hope that the board for the 2026–2031 term would effectively carry out their organizational responsibilities while contributing to regional development.

The Regent also expressed her appreciation to the provincial and regency-level PPP leadership for organizing the event. She noted that the inauguration of board members is a vital part of organizational sustainability and strengthening the role of political parties within society.

Barru Regent Invites PPP to Strengthen Cooperation with the Government

Andi Ina believes that the role of political parties is not limited to electoral activities. Parties can also serve as channels for public aspirations, spaces for political education, and partners to the government in presenting development ideas.

She hopes that PPP Barru Regency can continue to fulfill this role, including by maintaining communication with the local government regarding various issues faced by the community.

“As Regent and as a patron of political parties in Barru Regency, I hope that PPP remains in synergy with the government to provide the best work for the people of Barru Regency,” said Andi Ina.

According to her, the local government is open to various inputs and ideas from political parties as long as they aim to support the interests of the public.

She also mentioned that the good relationship already established with several PPP officials is part of her long journey in the world of politics and government.

Andi Ina recalled her shared history with various parties, including the extended PPP family, from her time serving as a member of the South Sulawesi Provincial DPRD to her current tenure as Regent of Barru.

Nevertheless, she emphasized that political relationships and friendships must remain focused on broader interests, especially the improvement of public welfare.

“Even though we have different colors, our goal remains the same: to provide welfare for the people in our respective areas of responsibility,” she asserted.

Political Differences Must Not Hinder Development

On this occasion, Andi Ina also touched upon the importance of maintaining a conducive political climate in Barru Regency.

She holds the view that differences in political perspectives and choices are part of democratic life. Therefore, all parties are expected to prioritize communication, mutual respect, and cooperation in matters concerning the public interest.

The Regent urged political parties not to let differences become a barrier to supporting regional development programs.

For her, cooperation between the government and various political elements needs to be realized through concrete steps, not just communication during official events.

She hopes that every idea presented by political parties can provide constructive input for the government, particularly in improving public services and citizen welfare.

At the end of her remarks, Andi Ina once again congratulated the newly inaugurated DPC PPP Barru board.

She reminded them that an organizational position is a mandate that must be carried out with responsibility, both to the community and to Allah SWT.

Armandsyah Arifuddin Encourages PPP Consolidation Down to the District Level

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the DPC PPP of Barru Regency, H. Armandsyah Arifuddin, stated that the inauguration of the board for the 2026–2031 term marks the beginning of organizational responsibilities that must be carried out together.

He believes the new board needs to strengthen internal coordination, maintain cadre unity, and build an active organization down to the district level.

The implementation of the PPP Musancab across Barru Regency is an important agenda to strengthen the organizational structure at the branch level.

Through this forum, the board is expected to unify ideas, draft work programs, and clarify the direction of organizational activities for the upcoming term.

Armandsyah also reminded PPP cadres and supporters that the party's presence should not only be visible ahead of general elections or other political activities.

He encouraged board members to get involved in various community activities, ranging from social, religious, and educational sectors to economic empowerment.

According to him, activities directly related to the needs of the residents are part of the organization's service that needs to be continuously developed.

In addition to strengthening the internal structure, DPC PPP Barru also expressed its readiness to convey public aspirations constructively and build communication with the local government.

This cooperation is expected to open space for the presentation of ideas and programs related to the needs of the people of Barru Regency.

Inauguration Attended by Regional Officials and Election Organizers

The inauguration of the DPC PPP Barru board for the 2026–2031 term was also attended by various government elements, election organizers, and community leaders.

Among them were the Regional Secretary of Barru Regency, the Chairman of the Barru Regency Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), the board of the DPW PPP South Sulawesi, members of the Barru Regency DPRD from PPP, the Chairman of the Barru Regency KPU, and the leadership of the Barru Regency Bawaslu.

Also present were the Head of Barru District, the Balusu Police Chief, religious leaders, community figures, as well as PPP cadres and supporters from various areas in Barru Regency.

This series of inauguration and Musancab activities serves as a consolidation agenda for the PPP Barru board for the next five-year period, as well as a forum for discussing the direction of organizational programs at the regency and district levels.
