Consumer Well Being According to "consumer well-being" refers to the extent to which a person's needs and wants are met through their consumption experiences and the contribution of those experiences to their overall physical, mental, and emotional health and well-being. Consumer well-being is the state in which consumers are satisfied with the products and services they purchase and consume them by satisfying their needs and desires. This definition may vary depending on the scientific perspective and area that studies consumers. Below are some definitions from consumer well being professionals. The American Psychological Association (APA) defines consumer well-being as a consumer's mental and emotional health, including well-being and high quality of life. In economics, consumer well-being refers to the state in which consumers can purchase the goods and services they need at affordable prices. From a health perspective, consumer well being is defined as the safety and health of consumers when using products or services. In marketing, consumer happiness refers to consumer satisfaction with the purchased product or service, including satisfaction with quality, price, and user experience. Some other experts define consumer well-being as the freedom consumers have to choose and access products and services that are high quality, safe and consistent with their values. In general, consumer well-being refers to the state in which consumers feel satisfied, safe, and satisfied with the products or services they purchase and consume. Consumer well being is an important indicator of consumer satisfaction. When consumers are satisfied with the product or service they purchase, they tend to become loyal customers and recommend the product or service to others. Consumer well-being is also related to consumer health and safety. Safe, high-quality products and services help protect the health and safety of consumers. Consumer well being is also important to protect consumers from harmful or deceptive commercial practices. Consumers who feel protected and respected by a company tend to have a higher level of trust in that company. Consumer well being also contributes to economic growth. Consumers who are satisfied with the products and services they buy and consume tend to spend more, which in turn increases demand and drives economic growth. Consumer welfare also emphasizes the importance of corporate social responsibility to produce safe, high quality and environmentally friendly products and services. Consumer welfare is therefore of critical importance to building positive business-consumer relationships, protecting consumer health and safety, and supporting economic growth and corporate social responsibility .

Discussion

Ethical business is good business Rules of conduct to determine what is right and wrong or what is good and bad in business is ethical business. These values include honesty, trust, fairness, respect, consistency, concern for others, accountability, and loyalty. The practice of corporate business ethics requires teaching good customers how to do business in a way that will benefit both parties. If the company adheres to good business ethics, the seller or manufacturer will see a significant increase in the number of satisfied customers. Business ethics have a significant impact on consumers because, when a company is targeted by consumers, the services and products it provides are excellent for example, the products are consistently good and have good service when the company has good and correct ethics. When a customer buys a product, not only the quality of the product is visible, but also how well the company's business ethics services serve its customers. This is because customers are more likely to like companies that only focus on the quality of their products but do not think about service. The statement "Ethical business is good business" shows that doing business ethically is not only ethical but also beneficial to the success of the company. There are several motivations behind why this statement is true. Reputation is customers, employees, and the general public tend to favor businesses that act ethically. Positive media coverage, customer loyalty, and employee morale are the benefits of a good reputation. Then, trust is customers, employees, and other stakeholders gain trust when companies follow ethical business practices. Stakeholders are more likely to support and recommend a company to others when they trust it. Then, risk management is a moral strategic policy that helps reduce gambling, including legitimate, monetary and reputational odds. By acting morally, organizations can avoid costly claims, fines and reputational damage. Employee retention is the employee retention rate tends to be higher in ethical businesses. Companies that treat their employees fairly and respect their values are more likely to retain them. Long-term achievements, moral organizations will quite often have a protracted outlook, focusing on economic growth rather than momentary gains. Over time, this can result in a safer and more prosperous business. In conclusion, operating a business in an ethical manner is not only a morally superior thing to do, but also has the potential to result in a more profitable and long-lasting company. In our opinion, PT is a picture of a company with ethical business practices in Indonesia. In our opinion and the ratings that have been given to Bank Central Asia by individuals who personally participated in the experiment of becoming customers, the company places great emphasis on its services. Security guards, janitors, cashiers, and customer service representatives are carefully selected and trained to adhere to the spirit or rules of ethics in doing business to provide the best service. Therefore, the company does not only rely on the products it sells, but also on business ethics when conducting business to achieve the company's intended goals for mutual benefit. In many cases, needs are the underlying biological reason, and one way to satisfy needs is through wants. Assume someone needs to save, they can actually save at home, but for certain individuals this strategy is not optimal, it is very important to save in a bank to make it easier for this to be understood. The goal of marketers now is to highlight the fact that needs exist rather than create them. In the real of advertising, marketers are not required to continuously describe the utility of the product, for example, because everyone must be familiar with how to watch television, marketers or commercials simply tell consumers that the product is available. From a monetary point of view, publication is entirely indispensable and assumes an important role for consumers. Because consumers can save time by looking for these needs in advertisements. Profit will not fully achieve the company's goals or desires, it will positively impact or succeed when the company's products are of high quality, while advertisers will have a terrible effect or fail when the goods sold are of low quality. So the achievement or disappointment of displaying according to the ideal organizational target must match the items distributed as well. Marketers have an obligation to provide safe and functional products as part of their business activities For this situation, advertisers have a commitment to provide protected and practical items in their business exercises. A significant competitive advantage is likely to add up for businesses or organizations that consistently achieve high levels of customer satisfaction. Especially when many businesses don't care about their customers. That we can take any of the three actions as consumers if we are not satisfied with the service or product that comprises the response, specifically by contacting the retailer directly. "Personal response" refers to the act of venting one's dissatisfaction with one's friends and can even involve boycotting certain businesses or products. And third-party responses, also known as pantless judges, allow customers to sue merchants, file complaints with activist groups, or publish reviews in newspapers. The fulfillment of buyers with goods is very influential, because in case it is found that many individuals express bad opinions through virtual entertainment. For example, this will be very risky for sellers in 2022. Reasons such as an organization should encourage its customers to do or give criticism, despite the widespread belief that criticism is harmful consists of resources to evaluate the organization, to avoid making mistakes that make customers angry and cause negative online and social media reviews about the company, then gather a little knowledge about the client's experience, which will later used to develop further administration, and customers will be more likely to switch stores than fight if they don't trust the store to respond to their complaints. The disappointment of the client or buyer can be described when we as buyers get an item that does not work as we expected. In this case, marketers must act immediately to persuade us, or they will lose customers. We are more likely to forgive businesses when they address their mistakes appropriately or honestly. Conversely, assuming the organization in general will hide, we will lose trust or even contempt may arise. In some cases, businesses may also be regulated by external bodies such as governments or industry associations to ensure that their advertisements and products are safe and prominent. For example, a business must, of course, be established in accordance with the conditions outlined in applicable regulations and laws. There is a form of consumerism in which individuals change their behavior by buying or using goods excessively without considering their use value. Corporate Social Responsibility, or CSR, is a way for a company to give back to the community in which it was founded. For example, PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk, which leads to a program called Unilever Indonesia Establishment (YAI) with 3 main support points, specifically the mainstay of working on expectations for daily comfort, the mainstay of climate, and the mainstay of welfare, government assistance and food. These actions are taken by consumer researchers to investigate and address what they perceive to be pressing social problems in the marketplace. Scientists who embrace this perception consider customers as partners who will help them in bringing about change. Social Marketing Most of the time, social marketing strategies use methods to improve literacy and stop bad behavior. For example, beer marketers will try to raise awareness of the dangers and discourage dangerous behaviors such as drunk driving. Consumer behavior has a direct impact on major public policy issues facing our society Behavior is defined as real customer behavior that can be observed and measured directly by third parties. To distinguish it from unobservable mental activities such as thinking, it is also known as explicit behavior. Behavior is the basis for your advertising. Because profits can only be obtained through sales. Consumers use different levels of product knowledge to interpret new information and make purchasing decisions. A person's level of knowledge is established when they accept different concepts of meaning and combine them into larger and more abstract categories of knowledge. This level of product knowledge is possible for customers. Know the nature or quality of the product, the benefits of using the product, and provide incentives to buyers for the product. Advertisers need to understand the nature or level of information about buyer items to plan an attractive promotion system. Customers build a knowledge structure known as the goals toolchain by associating relevant outcomes, values, goals, and needs with relevant product attributes. Some product attributes have a strong relationship with relevant results while others have a weak relationship with important goals. Individual items may have high or low engagement, customers define engagement as cognitive awareness of the importance of something and feelings of attraction and emotion. Knowledge of goals is stored in memory due to feelings influenced by intrinsic egocentrism. Situational factors in the environment also impact which components of the toolchain objectives are activated and how emotional customers are invested in making product and brand purchases. Marketing to Indonesian consumers is the same as marketing to other international customers. Factors that influence consumer purchases can change consumer needs and wants, which are very diverse. Therefore, for marketing efforts to be successful and efficient, a marketer needs to understand consumer behavior. Managers must first understand consumer behavior before implementing a marketing plan, then identify market segmentation and find suitable marketing or new opportunities arising from unmet needs. During the purchasing decision-making process, various factors influence consumer behavior. Most of these elements cannot be limited by displays and must be considered, but overall the variables that influence buyer behavior are divided into two parts, specifically internal and external. Buyer behavior is influenced by individual inner factors, for example, inspiration, character, utilization, mentality, buyer insight. Individual external factors, in addition to internal environmental factors, have a significant impact on consumer purchasing decisions. The following external environmental factors, influence consumer behavior such as communication, social class, culture, and reference groups. When the buyer recognizes the need problem, the buying process begins. The buyer realizes that the desired conditions and actual conditions are different. Needs or problems can be simple or much more confusing. The factors that have an impact are out-of-stock or expires when the customer uses the current product offering and has to purchase or resend the product. Dissatisfaction, when a customer is dissatisfied with an existing product or service provider. New needs, such as changes in consumer life or transition to a new phase in the family life cycle. For example, as parents, there is often a demand for baby items such as clothing and furniture. When you buy a product, you can also buy other products or accessories, for example, an iPad and a cover for it in some cases. Innovative work and offering new products and services for sale to the public can also make buyers have to buy new, new items. Normal practice and persuasion of others, for example, when a shopper visits a friend's condo and sees another computerized TV and needs to get it. Consumer behavior can be harmful to individuals and society. Last year's herd accumulated for a terrible event deal at Walmart in New York. When the door opened, the crowd rushed to one of the temporary workers and lunged at them, killing them as everyone rushed to buy discounted items from the shop window. How far will the individual go to get a statement?. We are our own worst enemies, in addition to external facts. We view individuals as rational decision makers. Calmly striving to achieve products and services that will maximize the health and well-being of individuals, families, and communities. However, in reality buyers desires decisions, and activities often present a negative danger to the person and surrounding network. While some of these measures carry greater severe risk, others are relatively harmless. Social pressure initiates harmful consumer behaviors, such as excessive drinking or smoking. Dissatisfaction with our bodies and achievements results from exposure to unattractive ideals of beauty and success. Let's consider some aspects of the so-called dark side of consumer behavior. Terrorism against customers is unlawful and unjustified. Even when there is a sense of dissatisfaction with a company or brand, it is better to propose a splice or take legal action than to commit acts of violence or threats that could endanger the lives and safety of others. For example, in 1982, a man dissatisfied with the Tynlenol brand attempted to sabotage the product by adding cyanide poison to the packaging of some pharmacies. Seven people died from cyanide poisoning, and the Tylenol brand reluctantly recalled all of its available products. The act is categorized as consumer terrorism because the perpetrators intend to damage the brand's reputation and instill fear in the general public. This is one example of consumer behavior that falls into the category of "dark side". Consumers who use a product or service excessively and uncontrollably engage in addictive behaviors, which can lead to addictions or addictions that are harmful to health and daily life. Services such as pornography, online games, social media, drugs, and cigarettes can lead to addictive consumption. Consumption to addictive levels can have negative effects on a person's mental and physical health, including organ damage, mental health problems, and depression. Consumers must recognize the characteristics of addiction and limit consumption of goods or services that lead to dependence (younger brother) in order to overcome addictive consumption. When struggling to cope with addictive consumption, consumers should also seek help from friends and family and consult a medical professional. An individual in the market who used or exploited, whether intentionally or not, for commercial gain includes prostitution, the annual cost of prostitution in the United States is estimated at $20 billion. The income from this is enough for the domestic shoe industry and araging red market for the body, with blood donations, internal organs, and hair. Millions of men sell kidneys, blood, and hair to some women as wigs in the United States. When Karna sold individual body parts, he was able to make $46 million. This alludes to customer activities that ignore the law by illegally utilizing goods or administration. These actions not only adversely affect the organization or manufacturer, but also the local area and can compromise the safety and strength of the buyer himself. Buyers should know that these activities can have serious results, as well as legitimate authorization or detention. To ensure the health and safety of individuals and society, consumers must legally purchase goods and services and use them appropriately. Conclusion The term "consumer well-being" refers to various aspects related to an individual's consumption experience and overall quality of life. It shows how much people are able to satisfy their wants and needs through their consumption habits and how these habits benefit their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. A major concern for marketers and policy makers aiming to promote individual and societal well-being is consumer well-being, which is influenced by a variety of factors including income, social support, personality, and consumer behavior. Future exploration in this space will zero in on the growth of a more refined and complete model of customer prosperity that takes into account the various logical and individual factors that influence this important part, it is possible that it will happen. *Prodi Manajemen, FEB, UMM
